Find the right solutions to your health needs with psychotherapy and psychological counselling services from Carly Clifton and Balanced Mind and Wellness Inc.! We offer insurance covered psychotherapy and psychological counselling services in Etobicoke and serve the areas of Toronto, Mississauga, and other sections of the GTA.

Psychotherapy is the practice of spending time with a psychological professional to help diagnose and assess mental and emotional problems. It focuses on specific goals you want to accomplish. There are various forms of therapy, such as: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Counselling can help you to understand and manage a wide range of emotional difficulties. It can help to develop more concrete steps to solving issues in your life. We can work to manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Counselling can also help individuals to deal with relationship conflicts. Most importantly, we work together to learn skills and coping mechanisms to work through issues or problems you have addressed.

Our therapy services include: individual counselling, couples counselling, relationship therapy, and family counselling. Our approach to psychotherapy and psychological counselling is integrative, collaborative, and active in focusing on the issues identified by you and what works best for you. We are enthusiastic, and respect and appreciate our clients. We will build a relationship with you on a strong foundation of confidentiality, trust, and commitment.

Depression Counselling

Depression Counselling

The purpose of depression counselling or depression therapy is to help alter the way you think and react to situations. Depression typically displays thought that focus on a severe inability to perform daily functions, very low mood, personal helplessness, and other symptoms mentioned above. We want to change this way of thinking to a more normalized or more helpful thought process, through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This involves focusing on a more realistic likelihood of various outcomes, and on the ability to cope and problem-solve challenging circumstances. By changing the way you think, we are able to also eliminate the physical symptoms.
