16+, Young Adults, Adults

Alannah is dedicated to helping youth and adults with their mental health and has spent over a decade contributing to hospitals, mental health, child welfare, human services, special needs, and research. Alannah's therapeutic approach involves a non-judgmental, empathetic and supportive environment. She prioritizes building a therapeutic relationship with each client, holds space for appropriate self-disclosure and leads each session through a person-centred approach. Alannah is also a strong advocate for building healthy relationships, continuing education and anti-oppressive movements.

Alannah has completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto, a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto/OISE and is a registered Teacher with the OCT. Alannah's Masters thesis looked at mental health professionals in school boards, which helped prepare her to work with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has additional training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (ICBT), and Guidance, Special Education and Suicide Prevention and Safety. Alannah also completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and CCPA.

Aside from her professional life, Alannah's personal life is filled with endless reading and hiking with her dog, Mylo. She enjoys trying new foods, exploring new countries, and diving head-first into new experiences - she has gone bungee jumping and skydiving (and loved it!). One of her life goals is to someday build an animal sanctuary.
