Registered Psychotherapist
Genuine, non-judgemental, and empathetic by nature, Chelsea is passionate about helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult struggles. Her passion for psychotherapy stems from witnessing our resiliency when given a safe place to heal.
Chelsea is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. She holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MA) from Yorkville University, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Laurentian University (BA), and a Social Service Worker diploma from Fanshawe College. Prior to psychotherapy, Chelsea worked for ten years in nonprofit and provincially funded social service programs helping some of the most vulnerable populations overcome a multitude of life barriers.
Through an integrative framework rooted in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, humanistic therapies (Gestalt, Emotion Focused Therapy), psychodynamic, attachment theory, and Buddhist psychology, Chelsea uses evidence-based interventions to help guide you through self-discovery, recovery, and to build new perspectives. Whether it’s working through past traumas or setting goals for future change, Chelsea explores present-focused awareness with the aim of creating clarity, acceptance, closure, and a sense of inner peace.
